bebolh/ato and βεβολημένος (l. 9 and Od. 10.247) are, according to Ar., the forms always used of mental wounds, βεβλημένος being confined to the physical sense. Zen., however, read βεβλ. in all cases, and it is doubtful if the distinction has any real foundation. Cf. note on 16.660.
